2022, Water Projection Interactive 3D animation
I contributed writting custom Linux C++ software for a water projection project by Cartier. A software has to playback the panther animation (FBX format) in realtime and slice mesh volume into vertical strips in order to simulate raindrops. We developed a shader pipeline chained by compute shader and multiple color effect shaders to satisfy Cartier's art direction. We employed Intel TBB and applied several performance optimization to make app faster than rainfall. More than 100 parameters ware well managed by custom GUI and preset IO system. We realized maximum flexiblity for brand - agency - tech collaboration on site. Final work was exhibited in Paris from 1-11 December 2022.
